About San Isidro

Isidore the Labourer, also known as Isidore the Farmer, (Spanish: San Isidro Labrador), (c. 1070 – 15 May 1130) was a Spanish day laborer known for his piety toward the poor and animals. He is the Catholic patron saint of farmers and of Madrid and of La Ceiba, Honduras. In celebration of the symbol that San Isidro Labrador represented toward growth and agriculture, San Isidro Plaza follows the model set forth by Saint San Isidro by growing our community and economy by presenting a destination for families and friends to gather and enjoy themselves.
