Hipster Pop Sci-Fi Jazz-o-Rama dusted with Country Western Funk and cinematic New Mexican Hip-Hugger Boogaloo Soul. Tripped out. Shaken ‘and’ Stirred. In other words: Imagine yourself inside a Quentin Tarantino movie……. This band has no musical boundaries, they take a lot of experimental musical adventures and they have a lot of fun doing it!
Busy McCarroll may be one of Santa Fe’s most recognizable and well-known musicians. She’s been singing in and fronting Santa Fe bands for over three decades. She’s been called ‘Santa Fe’s Funky Diva’, ‘The BeatNik Spy Girl’ and most recently ‘Quentin Taratino’s imaginary Musical Muse’. Whatever you call her, just don’t try to pigeonhole her only one musical genre. She’s full of surprises as she explores and conquers quirky unexpected foreign worlds of music. Busy is one of the Santa Fe local musicians who played to sold out shows at large SF nightclubs which no longer exist; The Line Camp, Golden Inn, Casa Blanca, The Office, The Cabaret, Club West, Take 6, Club Luna. Originally from California, she worked as a singing waitress at ‘The Great American Food & Beverage Co’ there she met and sang with Lee Ving, leader of the Punk band ‘FEAR’ later she joined Sid Hauseman’s Bluegrass band ‘Southwest Wind’ playing Upright Bass, spoons & singing. A few clubs they played were; The Palomino Club, Sagebrush Cantina, McDonald’s and The Ice House. In California, Busy also appeared on the Hollywood show ‘The Gong Show’ Busy borrowed her latest project name ‘BUSY + The Crazy 88’ from Quentin Tarantino’s ‘Kill Bill’ movie (the band recently changed their name from The Ambassadors of Pleasure).
